Your portfolio data is updated daily. Please note, you will always see the previous days closing values.

Firstly, you could choose to transfer funds using your existing BPAY details issued to you by our administration team when you first created your account. If you no longer have these details on file, please request them via invest@investsmart.com.au.

We have no minimum requirements for this contribution type, please note your contribution will be allocated in line with your current model portfolio allocations.

If you wish to contribute to a new model, or in a manner that doesn't align with your current model portfolio allocations then you are able to specify your contribution amount and where it should be directed using our online allocation feature. We've included the link below to help you take this action.

Adding a new Model Portfolio(s) or making a targeted contribution

Lastly, you are able to create a Regular Contribution Plan which requires a minimum of $100 to be made available to be drawn from your nominated bank account via direct debit in the middle of each calendar month.

If this option suits you then please click the article linked below on how to set up a plan through your My Account section. Setting up, or changing, my Regular Contribution Plan

Professionally Managed Account (PMA) investors have access to an online feature that allows them to request targeted contribution options to:

a) Add a new Model Portfolio(s) to their PMA...

For example, if you had $10,000 invested in the InvestSMART Balanced Portfolio and wanted to also have $10,000 in the InvestSMART Growth Portfolio.

b) Contribute to a specific Model Portfolio(s) within their existing PMA.. For example, if you had $20,000 invested between the InvestSMART Balanced Portfolio and the InvestSMART Growth Portfolio, and would like to add another $5,000 but only to one portfolio.

Both actions can be completed using the same feature in the My Account section:

  • Click My Account and My Investments
  • Select Add Funds
  • Enter Contribution Amount by Dollar Figure ($)
  • Provide New Allocation Breakdown by Percentage (%) and then select Next
  • Select Verify to receive a Code via Email or SMS
  • Enter Code to Complete Verification

Upon completing the verification step the details required to make the funds transfer utilising the BPAY system will be provided. If you require any assistance utilising this feature, please contact us at invest@investsmart.com.au and we'll walk you through it.

You can switch between Model Portfolios or alter the combination of Model Portfolios on which your portfolio is constructed at any time. Your instruction will generally be acted upon during the next rebalancing date after receiving your request online.

You can submit this request by taking the following steps:

  • Click My Account and My Investments
  • Select Modify Allocations
  • Click Adjust My Allocation
  • Provide New Allocation Breakdown by Percentage (%) and then select Next
  • Select Verification and use preferred option - Email or SMS
  • Complete Verification

If your request requires additional funds to be transferred then the details will be shown in accordance with what you need to contribute along with the BPAY details unique to your investment account.

If you require assistance, please contact our friendly team via the chat function in the bottom right corner.

You are able to set up a Regular Contribution Plan for your investment account.

You can choose to have this setting activated immediately, by requesting it during the application process or by requesting it to be added further down the track.

Our Regular Contribution Plan is a monthly, direct debit payment from your nominated bank account that requires a minimum of $100 per month, per model portfolio held.

Funds are drawn via direct debit on the 15th of each month or the closest following business day. If you have insufficient funds our administration team will contact you to facilitate the transfer at another date or you can just skip the payment for the month.

If you are yet to apply for an investment with us, but plan to and would like this setting to apply, please tick the appropriate box and select an appropriate amount during step four of the application process online.

If you are already invested with us and would like to get a contribution plan started please take the following steps:

  • Click My Account and select My Investments
  • Select Investment Preferences
  • Adjust your Regular Contribution Plan i.e. toggle on/off and specify amount
  • Click Save Settings Select your Verification Method - Email or Mobile - to complete the change

Please note that there will be a delay between the funds being drawn and your contribution and transactions being reconciled in your Portfolio Manager. We recommend that you consider up to five business days - if you have any concerns please feel free to contact our friendly team on 1300 880 160.

It's a setting that, when turned on, transfers out all of the cash from dividends and interest to your bank account. When turned off, the cash from the dividends and interest goes into the cash component of the portfolio and then we use it to buy more stocks. This is like our version of a reinvestment plan.

If you have the income sweep turned off, then any distributions and dividends will remain within your investment account. It will therefore be available to purchase additional holdings across the portfolio whenever it is deemed that a rebalance of your account is necessary.

If you have the income sweep turned on, then any distributions received during a calendar month will be accrued and paid out in the following calendar month as per the above.

If you wish to amend your income preference at any time please take the complete the following steps:

  • Click My Account and then My Investments
  • Select Investment Preferences
  • Toggle the Income Sweep
  • Select Save Settings
  • Click Verify Request
  • Choose Email Verification or SMS Verification
  • Complete Verification Process

You can add or adjust the nominated bank account for your Professionally Managed Account at any time by completing the following steps and sending the documentation through to invest@investsmart.com.au for processing.

Complete the Change of Bank Account Form (available upon request)

Provide Certified Identification for Account Signatories

Copy of new bank statement with names, address, BSB and account numbers

Regular withdrawal plans require the client to specify a dollar figure ($) to be paid monthly from their Professionally Managed Account (PMA) to the nominated bank account listed. Dependent on the size of the dollar figure specified InvestSMART may need to sell down investments to fulfil your request. Please be advised that if this is the case that brokerage will be incurred for the necessary transactions.

Whereas, choosing your income setting to be "paid out" will see any distributions or dividends received from the underlying investments within the calendar month retained, accumulated and paid out in a single lump sum to your nominated bank account in the middle of the following calendar month.

If you've got an existing account with us and wish to check or amend your current settings for either options referenced above please go the My Account section.
