Sony's deepest cut

Sony's overseas staff will most likely be spared much of the pain in the company's latest downsizing efforts, if history is anything to go by.

The latest round of job cuts at Sony are most likely to spell more pain for its domestic workforce compared to the one overseas, with the electronics giant  expected to make the deepest sacrifices at its homebase.

As today’s infographic which was sourced and created by Reuters shows, that's certainly been the trend in recent times.

Between 2004 and 2007, Sony cut just over half of its Japanese workers and there's more pain on its way.
