If Macquarie Group shifts a few billion from one division to another, it ain’t a big deal right? The investment bank did just that a few days ago and no one thought much of it. One business commentator has decided to dig beneath the surface of what appears to be a routine move and finds a lead on who might be the bank’s next chief executive. It pays to remember that a billion dollars is still a lot of money.
