Fund Objective
A reserve backed investment bond aiming for high stable rate of income with low volatility. These aims are maintained through preservation of the capital base, a stable interest crediting rate, and excellent investment performance.
Fund Strategy
This Option is held in Colonial Mutual's No. 1 Statutory Fund. Approximately 50% of the value of the Fund is invested in fixed interest securities and cash. The balance is invested in equity investments, such as shares and property in order to increase the potential for higher longer term returns. Current benchmark: Australian shares 25%, foreign shares 10%, property 15%, fixed interest 40% and cash 10%.
