The annual reporting season is ready to roll and will dominate the headlines over the next few weeks. In today's lead feature Adam Carr suggests that if you exclude the miners the results may well surprise on the upside. Certainly, there have been regular upside surprises in the US which Alan Kohler and I discuss in today's Inside Line (watch it here). Whatever way the local earning season goes, at Eureka Interactive we're looking forward to it because it will be our first real chance to display our new 'live' interviews: Watch out over the days ahead for a range of CEO interviews on the back of annual results season.

This week I'm expecting a particularly large audience for our monthly 'growth portfolio' update with Simon Dumaresq which takes place at 12.30pm Wednesday August 5. In the host's chair will be our new income analyst James Samson... so you'll be getting two analysts for the price of one! Simon has been having a very good year with choice 'small cap' picks such as Capitol Health and car parts operator AMA. He also has high hopes for companies such as QUBE and Vita Group. Don't miss this special interactive session.

Also this week we've been waiting some time to get the king of the Australian peer-to-peer lenders in the studio, on Thursday August 6 at 12.15pm you'll get to meet SocietyOne chief executive Matt Symons. He's persuaded James Packer's Consolidated Press Holdings, News Corporation (owners of Eureka Report) and a string of other big name investors to support his company. Now it's your turn to examine the business. You can also find out all you want to know on peer-to-peer lending in Elizabeth Redman's lead feature from last week: Peer-to-peer lending: We do your homework.

Speaking of CEOs Alan Kohler will be in the studio on Wednesday at 2pm to talk live with Klaus Bartosch of 1stAvailable.com.au, the online healthcare appointments company, while on Thursday at 10am Alan talks to Sam Riggall the CEO of CleanTeQ, the environmental research company.
