Question

Hi, Just a short question about fees. I am trying to figure out my actual return for each of your portfolios and wish to know which fees (Management, Indirect, Brokerage) if any are deducted prior to the published returns for each portfolio? - Submitted by Ross

Answer

The performance figures that you see published for our InvestSMART diversified portfolios are after management and admin fees are charged. It is exclusive of brokerage and the indirect costs.

Indirect Costs range from 0.09% - 0.30% p.a. Our portfolios use Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) and these fees are charged by third party ETF providers. The average is 0.18% p.a. Indirect costs are deducted by the underlying managed fund/ETF and are included in the ETF price. They are not separately
deducted from your Account. This means that they are charged inside the individual ETFs.

The performance figures are assuming dividends are re-invested and there are no withdrawals. The peer comparison figures have been sourced from Morningstar data and is therefore limited to the funds and investment products included in their database. This may not include all funds available for retail investment in Australia. The peer calculation is inclusive of admin and management fees; excludes brokerage and no withdrawals have been made. InvestSMART cannot determine whether or not franking has been included, nor if dividends have been reinvested. Historical performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.

The Product Disclosure Statement (PDS), page 17 'Fees' has more detailed information. The PDS is found on each product page.
