Synertec Corporation Limited has announced a strategic collaboration with Hitachi Energy to develop and deliver battery energy storage systems (BESS) and microgrid solutions across Australia. The collaboration aims to combine Hitachi Energy's global technology capabilities with Synertec's engineering-led power systems technology integration platform, Powerhouse. This partnership is intended to target energy storage and hybrid power projects, particularly in sectors such as energy, data centers, mining, and critical infrastructure, focusing on projects ranging from 5MW to 30MW. The collaboration aligns with the growing demand for high-performance BESS solutions and aims to deliver integrated, low-risk, and performance-backed solutions. Synertec's Managing Director, Mr. Michael Carroll, highlighted the strategic alignment and potential opportunities arising from this partnership, which complements Synertec's existing technology partner ecosystem. The MOU is non-binding with a term of up to 36 months, and the collaboration will focus on joint identification and development of BESS opportunities, incorporating power conversion technologies, and scalable reference designs tailored to Australian grid requirements.
