Superloop Limited has announced the completion of its acquisition of Lynham Networks Pty Ltd, the parent company of Lightning Broadband, for a cash consideration of $165 million. This acquisition, initially executed on 18 February 2026, is a strategic move to accelerate Superloop's Smart Communities strategy and enhance its position as a national Fibre-to-the-Premises (FTTP) challenger in Australia. Lightning Broadband operates an open-access wholesale FTTP network across several regions in Australia, covering over 56,000 secured lots, with approximately 16,000 services in operation. The acquisition was funded through Superloop's existing cash reserves and debt facilities, maintaining a low net debt of approximately 1.4x EBITDA post-completion. Additionally, Superloop's Joint Functional Separation Undertaking (JFSU) has been approved by the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission, which establishes a functionally separated framework for its wholesale FTTP operations, fostering open-access engagement with retail service providers.
