EMVision Medical Devices Limited is making substantial progress in its clinical programs for the emu™ point-of-care Brain Scanner. The company is conducting a Pivotal (Validation) Trial designed to support FDA De Novo clearance. This trial, which is being conducted across four locations in the United States and two in Australia, aims to demonstrate a haemorrhage detection sensitivity and specificity greater than 80%. The trial involves the enrolment of 300 suspected stroke participants in a multi-centre, prospective, diagnostic performance study. Additionally, the Continuous Innovation Study is running in parallel, collecting data to enhance algorithms and expand indications. EMVision has also initiated a Regional Benefits Study, funded by a $3 million grant under the Australian Government’s CRC-P Round 17 program, to evaluate the scanner's benefits in regional hospitals. This study integrates the emu™ Brain Scanner with telehealth networks to improve stroke care in areas with limited access to neuroimaging.
