International investing

I have recently set up a portfolio with Clime for Australian and international shares. I am looking for other companies that can do this as well. I believe Alan Kohler had a suggestion a couple of weeks back but I have misplaced it.

John Gourley

Editor's response: Thanks for your letter. I wonder if the note you have in mind is Alan Kohler's weekend briefing on the new listed investment company, Ellerston Global Investors? It's available here. Otherwise, an archive of Alan's weekend briefings is available here.

Market neutral funds

A recommendation in the investment press said to hedge naked equities risk via market neutral funds. Could you please explain what a market neutral fund is?

John

Editor's response: Thanks for your letter. Information about market neutral funds is available on Investopedia here.

Envestra

Was Envestra taken over by APA or the Chinese (Top five takeover targets, November 12)?

John Chapple

Editor's response: Thanks for your letter. Envestra was taken over by Hong Kong's Cheung Kong Group, not by APA. We've corrected the article.
