Sydney Airport: Result 2014

A lower Aussie dollar and growing demand from China have underpinned a decent result for Sydney Airport.

Sydney Airport is searching for a new chairman with incumbent Max Moore-Wilton retiring in May after nine years in the job. Moore-Wilton was previously chief executive for four years and presided over the airport’s privatisation in 2002.

He was also responsible for several controversial expansion plans, such as the high-rise car parks, which set the airport against local councils that lacked their usual legal authority because the airport sits on federal land.
