Woodside Petroleum (WPL) has signed a sales and purchase agreement with Korea Gas Corporation to supply liquefied natural gas.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, the petroleum exploration and production company said the three-year deal for a maximum supply of 2.2 million tonnes of LNG will commence in April and is subject to government approval.

The gas will primarily be sourced from previously uncommitted volumes from the Woodside-operated Pluto LNG Plant.

Other terms of the agreement are commercial-in-confidence, Woodside said.
