Certification granted Digital Realty Trust, Inc said it was awarded a Tier III Certification of Constructed Facility from Uptime Institute for its new data centre, located in Deer Park, Melbourne (pictured). This Tier Certification is part of a global commitment to have 20 Digital Realty data centres worldwide, certified as Tier III by Uptime Institute. With Deer Park, seven data centres have received both Design & Facility Certification and six are under way in Asia and Europe. The senior vice-president and regional head of Asia Pacific for Digital Realty, Kris Kumar, said its first data centre in Melbourne and its data centre in Sydney also boast Uptime Institute's Tier III Certifications of Design Documents and Constructed Facility. The Tier Classification System provides the data centre industry with a consistent method to compare typically unique, customised facilities based on expected site infrastructure performance. The second Melbourne data centre was expected to open soon.

Workspace a winner The new Sydney headquarters for advertising and marketing agency Clemenger BBDO has taken out a prize for small office interior design at the INSIDE Festival, held in Singapore this week as part of the World Architecture Awards.

Designed by HASSELL, Clemenger BBDO's new workplace draws creative teams out of small offices into a more inspiring workspace that encourages them to collaborate.
