With business booming, Colliers snares suite deal

COLLIERS International has moved the operations of its western industrial team to new premises in Pellicano's and MAB Corporations' Orbis Business Park in Ravenhall. The industrial team has taken up residence at suite 203, 271-279 Robinsons Road in the first stand-alone office building in the precinct. The move was prompted by strong activity in the west's industrial market.

Howdy, partners

TRESSCOX Lawyers has expanded its property practice with the appointment of two new partners Dan Flynn and Kristina McGeehan-Hall. Mr Flynn, who will join the firm on December 1 from Rigby Cooke, has more than 18 years' experience in all aspects of property law, including residential and commercial conveyancing and acting for statutory authorities in all aspects of leasing, licensing, acquisitions and dispositions. Ms McGeehan-Hall, who starts on November 28, has more than 15 years' experience, having worked for Mallesons in Melbourne and as a partner with Minter Ellison in Adelaide for many years. She advises mainly corporate clients on acquisitions and divestments of a broad range of property assets, and on the development of strategic sites for industrial buildings, off-the-plan residential apartment buildings and broad acre mixed-use developments.

Ravida builds on success

RAVIDA Group has won a national prize for a Melbourne project at the annual Master Builders Australia National Excellence in Building and Construction Awards. Ravida was awarded the 2011 Department of Health and Ageing National Lifestyle Housing for Seniors Award for its retirement project, "Renaissance Living", located at Surrey Hills in Melbourne's east. It was Ravida's second MBA award in three years. Renaissance Living, which opened earlier this year, was designed by JAM Architects. It has 43 apartments over five levels.

High five for FDC

CONSTRUCTION and fitout group FDC has won five Master Builders Association Awards this year. These "Excellence in Construction" awards were in recognition of quality, innovation and service in the delivery of projects across a variety of sectors.

The Victorian team took a prize for the OPSM Eye Hub in Hawthorn. Last weekend, the NSW team took out four awards covering construction and fitout.
