Virgin Australia Holdings (VAH) could get a compensation claim from Jestar after an airport accident grounded its Airbus A320, The Australian reports.

According to the newspaper, a Virgin Boeing 737 clipped the A320 while being pushed back from a gate at Melbourne Airport last month, leaving the Jetstar plane out of service for repairs.

“Given the damage to our aircraft and the significant time it has remained out of service, we’re considering our options for seeking compensation," a Jetstar spokeswoman told the newspaper.

Repairs may be in the order of several hundred thousand dollars each, in addition to lost revenue from the A320, The Australian reported.
