Transpacific Industries Group (TPI) has appointed Robert Boucher as its new chief executive officer, replacing Kevin Campbell.

In a statement to the Australian Securities Exchange, Transpacific said Mr Boucher will commence immediately after approval of relevant working visas and will also join the board.

Mr Boucher was previously executive vice president of operations for New York stock exchange-listed Republic Services, Inc.

Current CEO Kevin Campbell's resignation is effective from November 30.

Chairman Martin Hudson said Mr Boucher is a seasoned leader in the waste management and recycling industry.

"While his lengthy career has provided him with hands-on experience in all aspects of the industry, he has also proven to be an effective and well-regarded leader, capable of bringing organisations together and engendering significant improvements in performance," Mr Hudson said.
