Australia's Foster's Group and Lion Nathan, now in the stable of Japan's Kirin Holdings, have a fight on their hands because their Australian beer market duopoly is gradually being eroded.



The staunch loyalty to brands like VB isn't being seen in at the same levels in the newest generation of beer drinkers who are more curious about foreign beers and microbreweries, which has cleared the way for the CCA-SABMiller joint venture to snare a slice of the market.
