The big four banks are tripping over themselves to snare as many deposits as they can by offering promotional rates well above the RBA cash rate.



Three of the big four are trying to lure savers with promotional offers of 6 per cent for the first few months, and while ANZ offers similar promotions through external online channels, if you go directly through the aspiring Australasian superbank you'll have to ask nicely.
