TECHNOLOGY SPECTATOR WEBINAR: Board security
Webinar: Thursday, December 8, 2011 at 12pm-1pm AEDT
Shareholders have started to question the technology expertise of the boards of leading Australian companies in recent years. Commonwealth Bank and Telstra are just two that have faced scrutiny as investors wonder whether their boards have the skills required to compete or partner with global technology giants such as Google.
But research shows only 11 per cent of boards are presenting information security topics at each board meeting, and 40 per cent quarterly.
Join Ernst & Young information security leader Mike Trovato, Technology Spectator contributor Stilgherrian and Black Swan Consulting director Keith Price to discuss why and how company directors can brush up their knowledge of information security and technology.
The webinar will cover:
· The current level of board awareness of information security
· The key tech and information security trends company directors need to be aware of
· How corporate leaders can encourage company directors to take an interest in security issues
· What could happen if boards continue to ignore growing information security threats
