A former Sydney primary school teacher is facing 34 charges of sexual assault allegedly committed more than 30 years ago.

Five women, who were alleged victims of Michael Drew are planning a class action against their old school, St Agnes Catholic Primary School.

Mr Drew, 55, who now works for Centrelink, was the sports co-ordinator at the school in the late 1970s and '80s.

Mia Donald from Porters Lawyers in Canberra is acting for several of the alleged victims and is preparing the class action on their behalf. She has called for anyone with information to contact her.
