Rio ships Gobi copper

Rio Tinto has started shipping copper concentrate from its Oyu Tolgoi gold and copper mine in Mongolia's Gobi Desert. Rio said it had brought the mine into production as the outlook for copper remained strong. It marks three years and $6.2 billion spent on the first phase of the huge project that aims to be one of the world's top five copper mines.
