PanAust expects to meet the upper end of its 2014 production guidance range despite posting a fall in its gold production for the second quarter.

Copper production for the June quarter was 16,547 tonnes, an increase on the 15,483 tonnes reported in the previous corresponding period.

Gold production for the quarter fell to 13,463 tonnes, down from the 16,092 tonnes posted in the second quarter of 2013.

The group says it is on target to meet the upper range of its 2014 production forecast of between 65,000 and 70,000 tonnes of copper concentrate and between 160,000 ounces and 165,000 ounces of gold.
