Colliers International has appointed Paul Wheate as director of valuation in its Victorian team. Joining Colliers from Jones Lang LaSalle, Mr Wheate will be based in the Melbourne CBD office and focus on the valuation of residential subdivisions and multi-apartment developments.
Frank Sorgiovanni has left m3property after more than three years. His is moving to Singapore, where his wife has an expat assignment with Cargill. After a break, Mr Sorgiovanni aims to get another job in the local property industry.
Chris Curtain, a veteran of the St Kilda Road commercial precinct, is celebrating 20 years as a shareholder and director with Lemon Baxter. In his time working on St Kilda Road, Mr Curtain has seen the growing conversion from commercial properties to residential a trend he expects will continue.
The former chief executive of Ray White Victoria, John Shore, is now sales director for PropertyBlurbs.com. Mr Shore will be responsible for the business expansion of PropertyBlurbs.com across Australia and internationally. His previous roles include national real estate manager at Landmark (AWB), and director of Ray White Chelsea.
Daniel Grollo has become the chairman of the Green Building Council of Australia. Mr Grollo, previously deputy chairman, will replace Tony Arnel. Mr Grollo leads Australia's largest privately owned construction company. He has been a director of GBCA since its inception. Two GBCA board directors also announced their retirement Michael Barnes, chief executive officer of ISIS Group Australia, and Robert Coombs, president and chief executive of InterfaceFLOR Asia Pacific.
