How rare are the metals that make our gadgets?
It's hard to imagine a time when we had more gadgets at our disposal and with a plethora of iThis and iThat you would think that we have all of our bases covered.
However, one look at the latest Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales figures from the US illustrates quite clearly that we can't get enough of these things.
Now, I don't want to put a damper on the Christmas shopping season, and if you do want to buy something make sure you take a look at our list of Christmas tech treats, but this love affair with gadgetry does have some drawbacks and just like oil, gas and coal the raw ingredients needed to make the gadgets will become depleted sooner or later.
