The winners and highly commended recipients for the 2013 API NSW Excellence in Property Awards covered a diverse range of properties and developments, says the API NSW President, Tyrone Hodge.

It was the API's broad membership base and its "reputation for independence, education, integrity and professionalism that allows us to offer awards for excellence across eight categories, encompassing the broad spectrum of the property industry today", he said.

The Napier & Blakeley Property Development Award winner was the Australian Turf Club Property Development Team for Royal Randwick Grandstand. The development also won the DLA Piper Property Industry Award.

The Capstone Recruitment Environmental Award was won by Grocon Group for Liberty Place. The highly commended award went to the GPT Group for 5 Murray Rose.

The Commonwealth Bank of Australia Property Trust Industry Award was given to Australian Unity Investments for the Australian Unity Healthcare Property Trust. The RP Data Property Valuation Award went to Will Barton, of CBRE, for his Forestry Investment Trust Portfolio Valuation.
