Equity Trustees shares have been placed in a trading halt ahead of a release to the market regarding a capital raising.
Equity Trustees requested the halt remain in place until the commencement of trading on Monday.
Analysts have said that Equity Trustees was one of the logical bidders for ANZ’s trustee services unit.
The lender has since appointed Flagstaff Partners to spruik the sale of its trustee arm.
