Doha summit: Hanging in the balance

The end of the UN climate summit in Doha is near, with negotiations remaining tense. Is there still hope for a good outcome?

In the fourth installment of the COP18 video blogs, Climate Institute Deputy CEO Erwin Jackson discusses the key points of tension as the end of the talks near.

Settling on Kyoto amendments including the area of contention over market access, building confidence in finance for developing countries and defining a process to drive greater ambition are all coming to a head.

The climate negotiations in Doha are hanging in the balance but there is still a chance to see a good outcome which sets the negotiations on a path toward a new legally binding agreement (and increased ambition) in 2015.
