Dick Smith Holdings has lifted its third-quarter like-for-like sales by 1% as it continues to focus on its core growth strategies, including omni-channel retailing, private label products and accessories.

The retailer recorded total sales of $280.1 million in the third quarter.

Australian like-for-like sales grew 2.4% in the period, despite a challenging consumer environment.

Chief executive officer Nick Abboud said the growth was consistent with the group's expectations and he anticipates it will continue into the fourth quarter in the region of 3%, consistent with the group's prospectus pro forma sales forecast.
