Brambles chairman retires

Logistics group appoints Stephen Johns as chairman-elect.

Brambles (BXB) chairman Graham Kraehe AO will retire at the end of September, with non-executive director Stephen Johns appointed chairman-elect.

Mr Kraehe has been in the position since February 2008, and was previously chairman of National Australia Bank.

His professional relationship with Brambles' board spans 14 years as both chairman and non-executive director.

Stephen Johns has been a non-executive director of Brambles since 2004 and is currently chairman of the audit committee, a position he will hand over to non-executive director Brian Long.
