The Australian stock market looks set to open slightly higher after Wall Street ended last week with slight gains.
At 0645 AEST, the September share price index futures contract was up eight points at 5016.
Australian Competition and Consumer Commission chairman Rod Sims is slated to speak at at the Australian Institute of Company Directors Leaders' Edge lunch in Melbourne.
