The Australian stock market opened little changed despite sharp falls on international markets amid concern over the emergence of a liquidity crisis in China and the withdrawal of US Federal Reserve stimulus.

The Australian stock market opened little changed despite sharp falls on international markets amid concern over the emergence of a liquidity crisis in China and the withdrawal of US Federal Reserve stimulus.

At the 1015 AEST official market open, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index was 0.11% higher at 4,674.1 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index edged up 0.06% to 4653.7 points.

No major economic or equities news is expected on Tuesday.
