Aust stocks close stronger

Local stocks closed stronger today, finishing a mostly positive week largely led by resources.

A private survey showed business conditions escaped negative territory for the first time in 18 months and upbeat Wall St leads were largely responsible for today's performance.

At the 4.15pm (AEST) official market close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index rose 33.9 points, or 0.63%, to 5,424.3 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index gained 32.2 points, or 0.59%, to 5,416.3.
