Aust stocks close flat
Local market little changed as company earnings fail to inspire investors.
The Australian stock market has closed flat today as company earnings reports failed to inspire investors.
At the 1615 AEDT official market close, the benchmark S&P/ASX200 index inched up 0.06% to 5,437 points, while the broader All Ordinaries index added 0.06% to 5,447 points.
IG chief market strategist Chris Weston said earnings today "haven't been hugely inspirational", although the weightings on the market are low.
"Perhaps the big talking point on the floor today has been around the iron ore price and the lower low seen on the daily chart," Mr Weston said.
