Aust dollar opens lower
Currency falls almost one US cent in early trade on weak Wall St performance.
The Australian dollar is almost one US cent lower after Wall Street stocks and the gold price fell during the offshore session on Friday.
At 0630 AEST, the local unit was trading at 93.65 US cents, down from 94.50 cents on Friday.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 1.19 per cent, giving up much of the gains made on the Federal Reserve's no-taper decision.
