Aust dollar lifts in early trade

Local currency extends modest late-session rally after Chinese data.

The Australian dollar is higher, helped by the release of stronger-than-expected Chinese manufacturing data.

At 0630 AEST, the local unit was trading at 94.41 US cents, up from 94.19 cents on Monday.
