A new study has revealed that some uses of Facebook can be considered narcissistic, but that argument can be easily extrapolated to all social media.
Twitter revolves around users gaining followers, not creating friends. Even worse it's about dictating an opinion to your followers rather than creating a dialogue.
Then there is LinkedIn, perhaps the ultimate tool in online of self-indulgence, where the only aim is to promote yourself to prospective employees and ‘network' through sprucing your credentials.
So the folks at Western Illinois University may have a point when they say that Facebook users have narcissistic tendencies.
