Do I need one tablet, or two?
Smart phones have become an essential business tool, and manufacturers are continually rolling out new products with better functionality and features. But, for those needing a larger portable device to undertake their work, the computer tablet has become the latest and greatest piece of business equipment to have.
Like smart phones, tablet devices pack a powerful technology punch, giving users the ability to effectively operate key parts of their business and office functions remotely. The main differences with smart phones are that tablets have larger screens, more computing power, and are not really designed to make phone calls – although tablet users can access internet communications software if they need to, such as Skype.
The question of whether a business should adopt tablet technology is subjective, but for those businesses with people on the road on a regular basis, having a portable device that allows them to keep the business wheels turning is a major advantage.
