Tax loss for GTP TREES
Thanks to member Morgan O for alerting us to the fact that the liquidator of Great Southern Plantations, Ferrier Hodgson, has issued a declaration relating to that company's TREES income securities. The liquidator has announced that there is no likelihood TREES holders will receive any distribution from the liquidation.
That means TREES 2 and TREES 3 holders (ASX codes GTPGA and GTPGB respectively) should now be able to claim their tax loss. While Ferrier Hodgson made the declaration last financial year, on 29 April 2015, we unfortunately missed it. You can still claim your loss this financial year, however. Great Southern shareholders were issued their liquidator's declaration in 2014. As with anything tax-related, please consult your tax adviser for further information.
