Ric Spooner

Ric is Chief Market Analyst for CMC Markets in Australia, and is the most experienced global analyst in the CMC Markets team with over 30 years working in financial markets. Ric holds a Bachelor of Commerce from Macquarie University in Sydney, and a Certificate of Financial Planning from Finsia (the Financial Services Institute of Australasia). Before joining CMC Markets he was a successful private trader, managed the futures broking businesses of JB Were and Elders Finance for around ten years, and was Managing Director of the Sydney Futures Exchange Clearing House for eight years. He was also a non-executive director of Sydney Futures Exchange, and served as its Deputy Chairman.
