Woolworths falls further behind

There was plenty of good sense in Woolworths' strategic review, but its latest results show it is losing ground fast and more radical action is needed.

Woolworths wants investors to know that it’s a ‘strong business with lots of potential’, that management is ‘absolutely aware of the challenges to realising that potential’ and that they are ‘taking the steps required’. So much so in fact, that the same slide, saying these exact same things, appeared four times amongst the first 16 slides of Woolworths’ strategy presentation.
