There's nothing the market loves more than big international deals worth billions of dollars to local companies. And Woodside has just announced its involvement in a beauty. From 2005/06, it and five partners will supply China with over 3m tons of gas per year for 25 years. This is estimated to be worth around $25bn. But, at this stage, it's tough to judge what this is really worth to Woodside. None the less, it's certainly not a negative and we're sticking with a LONG TERM BUY.
