Will News Corp buy all of Foxtel?

Rumours are flying that Telstra wants to sell part of its stake in Foxtel. That could be good news for News Corporation.

Last year’s rumours about Telstra’s stake in Foxtel are resurfacing. Media reports have recently emerged that Telstra is considering selling at least some of its 50% stake, perhaps via a public float. There’s been a firm ‘no comment’ from the company but there’s probably fire somewhere beneath the smoke.

So what does this mean for News Corporation, which owns the other 50% of Foxtel?
