Trade Me backs down on property pricing

Trade Me has backed down from the pricing changes it made in its property business late last year, following intense industry pressure. Under its new pricing regime, the company will keep its new NZ$159 per property pricing, but will now discount it to NZ$99 for properties with a ratable value below NZ$450,000. Most significantly, though, it will revert to allowing ‘all-you-can-eat’ subscriptions, at a price of NZ$1,399 for metropolitan real estate offices and NZ$999 for regional offices, compared to the NZ$999 cap until last year.
