Oroton: Result 2014

This leathergoods retailer reported one of the most impressive retail results of the recent reporting season, but risks are beginning to mount.

If retailing is a dying business, OrotonGroup didn’t get the memo. Its full-year result was arguably the most impressive of any retailer, with the company posting 8% same-store sales growth at its Oroton stores for the year to 26 July, driven by new store layouts and aggressive marketing. This wasn't lost on the market, with the stock now up 24% since the announcement.
