Oil Search has not experienced happy times over the last couple of years. It's one that we've covered and, to say the least, not been very successful with. Our effort in issue 67 (Accumulate on weakness - $1.58) hasn't turned out well so far. We think the price has been unjustly hammered down to levels presenting a good speculative buying opportunity for those with a little bit of ticker. The hedging burden of 2000 is behind them and the much talked about PNG to QLD gas pipe project could still be pulled off. Yes, we know price chart isn't pretty. But like Novus in issue 83 (Speculative Buy - $2.24), some nice upside potential makes Oil Search worthy of a SPECULATIVE BUY. Watch out for our full review in the next issue.
