Nanosonics’ dirty little secret

Nanosonics is cleaning up in more ways than one, but its latest study adds little value.

'If I had asked my customers what they wanted,' Henry Ford observed, 'they’d have said a faster horse.' In the same vein, Nanosonics’ customers only needed a better disinfecting bath – what they got was something else entirely.

First, a quick recap: medical instruments used on multiple patients must be sterilised between uses. The usual method is to heat them to high temperatures or bathe them in a liquid disinfectant.
