If you’ve been waiting to claim a tax loss on the Great Southern Limited ordinary shares, your vigil is over. Liquidator Ferrier Hodgson has finally declared the shares worthless after publishing the liquidator notice, which you can find here. You’ll need the document for your tax return, so with eligible shareholders finally able to claim a capital loss in the income year that includes 26 March 2013, we’re now switching to COVERAGE CEASED.

Unfortunately there’s been no declaration for the GTPGA and GTPGB income securities. We'll keep watching for any further announcements, although it’s almost certain that no capital will be returned on those securities.
