Echo: Interim result 2014

The chief’s quit and the interim results disappointed, so why are we betting on this poor performer? Jason Prowd explains.

Echo Entertainment can’t take a trick. In the past 18 months it’s gone through two chief executives, lost key management at The Star after a public scandal, discovered it’ll be pitted against Crown Resorts in Sydney and even faces a fight in Queensland (see Echo’s fight moves north from 16 Oct 13 (Buy – $2.58)). Unsurprisingly its share price is down 44% over the period.
