Our new website has prompted lots of feedback. John Addis explains why one was needed, what we've learnt from the mistakes and what fixes you can expect.

A website is the face a business presents to the outside world – especially a publishing business, and especially our publishing business. It's the medium through which information passes, but it also presents a character – it can be simple or busy, humorous or serious, open and honest or closed and opaque.
