The company recently announced it will go ahead with plans to demerge its building material, sugar and aluminium operations. This should release management to concentrate on the more promising international construction materials business. The market appreciated the news after pushing the share price back over $6, although MD Peter Kirby announced he will retire after the demerger. The stock is up 6% since issue 113/Oct 02 (Long Term Buy - $1.50) and remains a LONG TERM BUY.
